Sunpower gets US$2.67m contract in Mexico

Sunpower Group Ltd on Monday announced it has been contracted to supply heat exchangers, valued at 16.9 million yuan (US$2.67 millioin) to Braskem Idesa, for its polyethylene manufacturing project in Mexico.

The equipment ordered will be designed and manufactured in accordance with Standard ASME(American Society of Mechanical Engineers).

The heat exchangers are expected to be delivered by FY2013, and the contract is expected to have a positive impact on the group's FY2013 results.

The contract was signed between Sunpower's wholly-owned subsidiary Jiangsu Sunpower Technology Co Ltd and China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering Corp - one of the EPC companies for Braskem Idesa's project.
