On Tuesday Mrs. Bales 1st Grade Class from Dufur took a trip to Hospital Land at Mid Columbia Medical Center. ?What a great experience for the kids, they learned what happens from the time you ?check in? at the Hospital, through Surgery and going home. ?Each child played a part from patient to surgeon. ?Then the kids had free time to ride the hospital gurney, wheel chair, look at x-ray?s, try on different cast?s and walk with crutches. ?Each child was sent home with a bag with all kinds of goodies. ?We have had a ?nurse? at home all week, giving shots, bandaging and taking temperatures. ?Thanks to Mid ?Columbia Medical Center for providing a great learning experience for the local kids, we are lucky to have such a great facility in our backyard.
